Florida’s Individual Freedom Bill (House Bill 7), nicknamed the Anti-WOKE Act, prohibits mandatory training by employers on certain specified concepts. The Anti-WOKE Act also provides employees with a private cause of action, expanding the risk of civil liability against employers for discriminatory employment practices. The law is slated to go into effect on July 1, 2022.
